Tuesday |
My day began with some headshots at LULAC and catching up on what I had missed in the office on the day before, since I had programming on Mondays. After a good day of work, I attended this happy hour event, which I am so happy that I did, because I met amazing people and had so much fun networking. I was very hesitant to go, but both Yaisy and I felt so accomplished by the end of it!

Wednesday |
I began my day with a hearing on the Hill, which I'm always happy to attend. The LULAC fellows and I ended up leaving early since we had a few meetings to attend at the office, but then we were able to go to a rooftop opening for our building, which involved really good free food and drinks. After work, some LULAC fellows, HEP/CAMP interns, and I attended the congressional baseball game, which was a lot of fun!

Sunday |
My last day of the weekend was jam-packed since William, Yaisy, and I decided to be callejeros and explore what Eastern Market and the Bonsai Garden National Arboretum had to offer. We began our day by heading over to Eastern Market, where we walked around with a friend named Josahandy that we had met on Tuesday during the networking event. After, we got breakfast nearby and headed over to the Bonsai Garden place where we took a lot of pictures, talked, and did a lot of laughing. We followed the Bonsai Garden with some Wingstop and then visited the Kennedy Center near our dorm and got to see a really nice rooftop. Overall, this has probably been one of the most exhausting, but also one of the most fun days I've had so far.
