Tuesday
Today, I began by attending a legislative breakfast for NHCOA and hearing from some really amazing professionals on current issues affecting older generations. Following breakfast, I headed over to the LULAC office, where I worked on my article and did some small tasks before going to the Tri-Caucus social with CHCI, CBCF, and APAICS. At the social, I got to meet some amazing people on the Hill, which was a wonderful experience. Something I've gotten good at while in DC is conversing/networking with people from so many different walks of life and learning about their stories, which I love.

Wednesday
I began my day preparing for the heat since Andres and I would be going to support Yaisy as she gave her testimony for the Asunción Valdivia Heat, Illness, Injury, and Fatality Prevention Act hosted by Senator Alex Padilla and other members of Congress on the Hill. Once it ended, a group of us decided to grab some food before heading back to our offices for work. Back at the office, I continued to work on an article I'm writing and was able to get some valuable feedback on it from my supervisor, which gave me a greater sense of direction as to what the next steps are. Once back, I took a long nap before doing a build-your-own sushi roll with Andres, which was so good.
Sunday
I began my morning by catching up on some much-needed sleep before heading to my haircut appointment in Columbia Heights, which is always a nice commute since I take the bus. After that, I did some cleaning and went to the LULAC gym before going to Buffalo Wild Wings with Jackie for their $ 9.99 unlimited appetizers. Since we were already in Virginia, we wanted to go for a walk before heading back to the dorms, and that's when we discovered a nice trail from the Arlington Cemetery Metro to Roslyn. By the time we made it back to the dorms, it was already dusk, and that is where I ended my day.
