All About Abigail
Abigail was born in Los Angeles but raised in Bakersfield, California by her single mother who works in the fields. Abigail is the first person in her family to attend college and wishes to complete her education to give back to her mother's hard work. Abigail has taken up various opportunities to expand her knowledge and earn the help she needs to successfully finish her education. Most recently she is part of the Californians for All College Corps where she is a water & utility analysis fellow for the Sustainability and Energy Department, underwater conservation on campus.
Abigail is a sophomore at the University of California, Bakersfield majoring in Agricultural Business. Upon completing her undergraduate degree, Abigail hopes to have gained real-world experience and opportunities to help her take on real-world issues presented in the agricultural industry. She would like to have the opportunity to find solutions that are related to food production, such as the change in climate, temperature, soil degradation, shortage of water resources, and other issues.
As a HEP/CAMP Intern, Abigail hopes to network with other professionals from many different fields to help strengthen her knowledge of the agriculture industry. She hopes to bring back all that knowledge to share with her community.
